Qualifying Criteria


Is the InsurancePlus product available to everybody? *
Unfortunately not. It is only available to graduates and professionals. You must be a graduate or a professional, either in a self-employed practice or employed by an organisation.
 



Do I qualify for InsurancePlus? *

In order to qualify as a policyholder, you should have at least the following tertiary level qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years university degree or;
2. A minimum of 3 years technikon degree or;
3. A minimum of 3 years college diploma.
You also qualify if you are:

4.   An ILPA-qualified insurance professional;
5.   An ACII and ACIB qualified insurance professional;
6.   A loss adjuster who is a member of The Institute of Loss Adjusters.
7 .  An estate agent registered with EAAB (Estate Agents Affairs Board)
8.   A valuator who is a member of the Council of Valuers



 

Are there any other criteria for membership?
Yes. In order to qualify for an InsurancePlus policy, your short-term insurance premium should be at least ? amount per month.
 

The benefit accrues to policy holders into two categories:
- Category "A" corresponds to policy holders continuously insured with    InsurancePlusWorld without interruption for a period less than 3 years.
- Category "A-Plus" corresponds to policy holders continuously insured with    InsurancePlusWorld without interruption for a period of 3 years and longer.

* The InsurancePlus policy is exclusively for professionals and graduates as defined in this section. The status of the policy-holder in terms of the InsurancePlus criteria for professionals will be verified in the event of a claim. Should the policy-holder not qualify in terms of the InsurancePlus criteria for professionals and graduates, the policy shall be deemed null and void as from inception date. No claim will be entertained for non-graduates / professionals.
